Acupuncture is the insertion of fine/thin needles into the meridian points that will correspond with an acupuncture practitioner’s diagnosis of a patient’s illness or pain. The needle insertion into the prescribed points helps alter energy stagnated at the prescribed acupoints and stimulates the acupoints to begin normal adjusted flow of life energy to the areas where the pain or illness was originating from. The process of acupuncture helps restore normal balance and flow of energy, revitalizing the body to repair itself and maintain its health.
