Wal-Mart Distribution Center Donates
Flowers to Patients & Residents
 CGRMC patients and Desert Pavilion residents received a delightful surprise this past February 8 when Wal-Mart Distribution Center donated flowers as gifts to patients and residents. “We were quite surprised and delighted to receive such a wonderful donation, especially around Valentine’s Day,” said Kai Gerkey, vice president of Business Development. He continues, “The distribution center has shown time and again their commitment to community involvement and making a difference in people’s lives. We are very grateful to them for that. ”
Shortly after receiving the donation, CGRMC Volunteer Fran Evans made rounds delivering the flowers throughout the hospital much to the delight of patients. Although it took the better part of the afternoon, it was well worth the time and effort in brightening their day and ultimately, their hospital stay.
“Forming community partnerships is very important to us at CGRMC because we are a community hospital,” said Kai. “Community members benefit most when we all work together towards a common goal—that goal being the wellbeing of our community.
