Emergency Department CampaignWhat Will It Look Like?
 
- Approximately 32 rooms/beds designed as flex space that can be used to treat any problem by bringing in specialized cart-loaded equipment for whatever is being handled.
- Approximately 8 rooms/beds dedicated to major medical/trauma with overhead x-ray.
- Nearly half of the 32 flex rooms will be equipped for cardiac treatment.
- 1-2 rooms with reverse air isolation for treatment of infectious diseases.
- Flex space is included, offering extra holding space for patient overload.
- In addition to the rooms/beds for treatment, plans call for 1 consultation/health treatment room.
- Space to accommodate state-of-the-art emergency medical equipment, some of which requires more square footage than older equipment.
- The entire facility will be computerized, including registration, supplies and medication, nurse call, physician documentation, orders, security and records.
- The enhanced Emergency Department will be geriatric friendly with high visibility clocks, adjustable height treatment carts, etc.
- The expanded Emergency Department will be totally secure and locked-down, with centralized monitoring and twenty-four hour security guard services.
