Desert Reflections Imaging Center

Contact Number:  (520) 381-XRAY (9729)

We are a dedicated outpatient facility offering an extensive line of imaging services. Our Imaging Center provides Computerized Radiography (X-Ray), Digital Flouroscopy, Computed Tomography (CT) Scan, and High Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The women's section consists of Ultrasound, Mammography, and Bone Density exam rooms. The Imaging Center is designed to give women a more personable and private atmosphere.

Our equipment is new, state-of-the-art technology. This will afford you and your physician confidence in the accuracy of results received from your examination. Our Radiologists are Board Certified and Fellowship trained in their areas of expertise. Our staff is available to address issues or concerns regarding the service you receive. Excellence in customer service is our number one focus.

CT Scan
Our high speed, multiple detector Computed Tomography (CT) unit is capable of sub-second scanning. This means quicker exam times and better image quality because of decreased motion artifact. CT scans are commonly used for head, chest, abdomen and pelvis; with more specialized scans for the spine and various areas of the skull. Patients will appreciate our unit's slim and wide open gantry. Examinations are more comfortable with improved access and better communication between operator and patient.

Digital Mammography
Our Center is American College of Radiology (ACR) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) accredited. We provide both screening and diagnostic breast exams. Our digital mammogram unit uses a device where more breast tissue is seen on the radiograph. This unique, bi-directional compression device also increases patient comfort since uncomfortable stretching of immobile tissue is avoided. The ability to see more breast tissue creates superior images which yields more confident diagnoses. We also have funds available through a Susan G. Komen Grant which provides free screening mammograms for underinsured or uninsured women.

Ultrasound
Our Center performs abdominal, vascular, obstetrics, pelvic, and gynecological ultrasound procedures. With our ultrasound system, we are able to record dynamic (motion picture) information that is far superior to film in both quality and longevity. With dynamic diagnosis, multiple clips and images are simultaneously presented for a virtually instant review of the exam. This allows the diagnosis to be based upon an unprecedented amount of diagnostic information presented faster and more clearly. This is the first ultrasound system in Pinal County to utilize this technology.

Bone Densitometry
Osteoporosis is the most common human bone disease. It is the deterioration of bone tissue leading to bone fragility and consequent increase in risk of fracture. In just 30 seconds or less, our testing methodology can complete scans which include hip, spine and forearm. The results are translated into a "fracture risk indication" report for you and your physician. Our unit is dedicated to bone density measurements only, which will give physicians precise accuracy with screening and/or therapeutic test monitoring.

Diagnostic Radiology
Our Imaging Center is the first application of Computerized Radiography (CR) in Pinal County. CR provides greater diagnostic imaging because digital images can be post processed to reveal subtle details, thus providing more accurate diagnoses. Our facility uses the Picture Archival Communication System (PACS), which allows your physician to view your images directly from their office.

MRI
Our Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner is a high field, high gradient magnet. This means superior image resolution compared to "open" MRI units. High gradients mean shorter exam sequences which result in less time in the "tunnel." Our gantry is a short bore which allows claustrophobic patients to be scanned more comfortably.
